There is always an opportunity to learn, even when times get tough. Try to find the positive in every situation that comes your way. Life is much easier when the negatives in life are turned into positives! When I get discouraged, this quote encourages me and gives me reassurance.
My name is Lisa Loveless. I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from SUNY Brockport. My passion for teaching led me to SUNY Oswego. I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. Throughout my entire graduate career, I have been employed at North Rose Wolcott Central School District. I am a kindergarten reading teaching assistant. I am grateful to be in this position at this time because it is a time for me to improve and apply the skills that I am developing. This position has confirmed my passion and desire to teach.
The purpose of this web-folio is to convey my teaching ideologies via rationales of each of the INTASC standards. INTASC is an acronym for Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium. The INTASC standards represent a common core of teaching knowledge and skills that are designed to help all students acquire 21st Century knowledge and skills. Along with the rationales of each the ten standards, I have also created an artifact to illustrate how I have or plan to meet each standard. I enjoyed and benefited greatly from composing this web-folio.
